Today I had my first day with my new employer. It all went well, but I was pretty exhausted by the end of the day. There is always soooooo much information to gather on a first day. I talked, listened, talked.....all day. I was welcomed this morning with a beautiful bunch of flowers. Isn't that a warm welcome? My new employer is a small management consultancy firm with only 23 people, and they all (well, the ones I met today) are very nice. I am sure I will have a great time. And you know, one of the things I like best about this job is that it is only 25 minutes from home. So no more traffic jams.
Last night I scrapped a layout with SEIs new Ally's Wonderland papers. I used a sketch for the very first time. Never done that before, and I am not sure if I will do it again. It has absolutely nothing to do with the sketch design - I chose this one because I liked the design a lot - but I found it pretty hard to use a sketch. Since it was my first time I am not comfortable yet with using the sketch in a different way and adding my own touch. Perhaps I should try it more often. The sketch I used is sketch #22 designed by Valerie Salmon. I found it on her blog Got Sketch.
