Photo Shoot by Florence Bavinck

We had a photo shoot with Florence Bavinck on October 31st. Today Florence mailed us one of the pictures of that shoot and I love it!! The rest will follow later this week, and I can hardly wait to see the other ones. If the other pictures are as wonderful as this one I know we will have another gorgeous collection of family pictures. We love Florence's photography style, and I am sure another photo shoot with her will be done in the future. If you ever want to do a photo shoot I can strongly recommend Florence Bavinck Photography.

Have a Happy Sunday!

Festival of Lights - Cuttlebug Challenge Blog Hop

Welcome to our first ever Festival of Lights from the fabulous team at the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog!

In addition to the fabulous projects, we have decided to make this party the most fun ever by hiding 2 treasures along the hop! Two selected designers will draw a random winner from the comments left on her blog in the hop. But of course, it wouldn't be a treasure hunt if you knew which blog is hiding the treasure, right?

The winner will receive a $30 gift certificate to Peachy Keen Stamps! You will also get a free year subscription to Technique Junkies sponsored by Pat Huntoon.

So as you hop, make sure you leave comments on every post so you have a chance to win, and add the Cuttlebug blinkie to your blog. The more comments you leave the better chances you have at winning. You can download the DT list here, so you can keep track of whom you need to visit.

Here's my project for this week's Festival of Light. I was inspired by one of my sweet friend Hanneke's projects in the latest issue of Cards Only.

Trip To Jamaica

In June 2006 Eric and I made a trip to Jamaica. It was an incentive trip hosted by Eric's employer. It was the first time in 6 years that I accompanied Eric on one of the incentive trips again. Since the birth of Fleur and Sanne I was a bit feared of flying, and didn't like to be miles away from home without the girls. I felt quite sorry for Eric that he had to go alone on these trips while his coworkers were there with their spouses, so in 2006 I decided to go with him. It was our first visit to Jamaica and we had a wonderful time. I chose the most beautiful pictures of this trip, and made this mini album. The album was published in Scrapbook Magazine.

Until next time!

Congratulations, and CARDS November

A few weeks ago I participated in a Card Sketch Game on the Scrapdelight forum. 5 Girls in one group. The first one picks a sketch and makes a card based on the sketch. She sends a picture of the card to the second person and that person has to make a card based on her card without having seen the actual sketch. And so on... I was the second person, and here's my card that was scraplifted from the first card.

Supplies: Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper Patterned paper: October Afternoon Cherry Hill Rub-ons: Melissa Frances Button: Rusty Pickle Twine: Jillibean Soup Tools: Crealies Creative Flowers 3, Creative Shapes 1, sewing machine Ink: VersaColor Pinecone

Back in June two of my cards were picked up for publication in the November issue of CARDS. I haven't received a copy of the magazine yet, but since I have an online subscription I can already show you my cards in the magazine. I have cards and layouts published in Dutch magazines, but it is super cool to also have my work published in an American magazine.

Thank you so much for all your sweet comments. I really appreciate it.

Have a Happy Saturday!

Merry & Bright

This week I finally had some time to play with the gorgeous templates that Regina Easter from The Cutting Cafe designed for the festive season. As soon as I saw the Mitten Shaped Card template I knew that would be the first template to play with. I think it is a real cute design, don't you think? The shaped card templates are one of my favorites. The circle sentiment is one of the printable stamps from the Circle Christmas set.
