Pubbed Layouts

As promised, I would also show you the other layouts that were published in the previous issue of Scrapbook Magazine. I used the Soup Staples collection from Jillibean Soup on both layouts. I {heart} the Soup Staples collection. So many colors to choose from, and perfect to match with any of the other Jillibean Soup collections.

The first layout is about Fleur. This picture was taken this summer. Next week she'll be turning 9, and I love to see how she is changing. Not only in looks, but also in the way she acts and the things she loves to do. She spends more time on her hair and clothes and is more aware of her appearance. She is not really interested in kids' music such as K3 and Kus (Belgian and Dutch girl bands) anymore, but loves to listen to the Black Eyed Peas, Pink and Lady Gaga. The layout is based on a sketch by Becky Fleck from her Scrapbook PageMaps book.

You may remember that Eric created this poster using a picture of Fleur and Sanne. I loved how the poster turned out and just had to scrap the poster.

Cover Girl......Again!

Early October the new issue of Scrapbook Magazine will be available. An anniversary issue with 16 extra pages!! I can already tell you that it will be a wonderful issue with many gorgeous projects. Again one of my lay-outs was chosen to be on the cover, and I am really proud of it. I still think it is very special to be on the cover of a magazine. The cute and adorable little boy on the layout is my sweet nephew Nick. I so LOVE that picture of him. The papers that I used are a mixture of various Jillibean Soup collections.

Lay-outs, and Scrapbook Magazine

Yesterday I received the newest issue of Scrapbook Magazine in the mail. Now that the new magazine is out I can show you a few of my projects that were pubbed in the previous issue. Here are two layouts about Fleur. The layout Bijzonder (= Special) is about a question she asked us back in April just before she went to bed. She asked us what makes her special. We can mention a 1001 things that makes her special, but the most important thing is that she is who is she and that makes her special. That's what the journaling is about.



The other one is about Fleur on the swing in the yard of my parents' rental holiday home. When my parents go on holiday to Ouddorp (NL) for 3 weeks we always go to visit them for a weekend. The first time was in May 2007, and that was when this picture was taken. Fleur couldn't get enough of the swing and spent lots of time on it.

And here's the cover of the new Scrapbook Magazine #25. It wasn't until a few minutes ago that I realized I made it to the cover. That little paradise picture is a picture of one of the pages of my mini album about a trip to Jamaica that made it to the magazine.

A layout, and Mini Album

Did you all have a good Easter? Ours was v-e-r-y relaxing. The weather was beautiful. The girls spent lots of time outside.

It seems like my creativity is back. Fortunately my scrappers' block didn't last too long. I decided to scrap 8.5x11" layouts instead of 12x12" layouts, and that seemed to help. It has been almost two years ago since I scrapped my first....and last.... 8.5x11" layout. This weekend I made 2 layouts and I have been working on layout #3. I must say that I really like this size. I usually am a slow scrapper and never finish 2 layouts in 2 days. This time I did! I can't show you the layouts yet as they might get published in Scrapbook Magazine. For now I will leave you with the layout that made it to the cover of the February/March issue of Scrapbook Magazine.



And here is the mini album that was published in the same issue. I made this one for my brother and SIL as a gift for the birth of their son Nick.

I am happy that it is weekend. I had quite a busy week. I worked 4 days instead of 3 days, and had lots of other things to do. We haven't made any plans for this weekend, so it will be a relaxing one.

I used the yummy Minestrone collection by Jillibean Soup on this layout. It is super cool to be on the cover of a magazine, but this one is very special to me. If you read the editorial note you will understand why. Truike, the owner of the magazine and Paper & Pictures, was really touched by this layout.

Published Layouts

Now that the new issue of Scrapbook Magazine is in store for almost two weeks I can show you the layouts that were published in issue #21.

On the Fall layouts I used pictures of Fleur and Sanne that were taken by my dear SIL Lisette while we were in the UK last October. We did a photo shoot on the day we arrived. I really like the pictures she took of Fleur and Sanne. The journaling on both pages is the same, but the design and materials are different.

The layout Jonne's feestje is about the birthday party of Jonne, one of Fleur's friends. The girls had a great time in the woods. It had snowed a few days before so the scenery was beautiful. I used one of the Quick Collages by Scrapbooks Etc. on this page.

Cover Girl......and Boy

This morning I went to Paper & Pictures in Doorn to pick up some new papers that Truike, the owner took with her from CHA. I can tell you that she had lots - and I mean LOTS - of yummy goodies in her suitcases. I now have some gorgeous Pink Paislee, Bo Bunny and Jillibean Soup papers to play with. Lucky me! Truike also gave me a copy of the new Scrapbook Magazine that will hit the stores next week. And look......Eric and I are on the cover!! What a wonderful surprise!! When I got home I had also received a copy of the magazine in the mail. All subscribers should have the magazine in the mail either today or tomorrow. My dear friend Hanneke made it to the cover too. The little box at the bottom is hers. It is her first publication in the Scrapbook Magazine and I am really happy for her. The magazine is full of gorgeous projects.



Tomorrow my SIL Lisette will have dinner with us. She will be in the Netherlands this weekend. I really look forward to see her again.

Well, I am off to make myself a cup of tea and read the magazine.
