2S4Y, Use It!, Jillibean Soup and a Winner

While the girls were in school this morning I did a little scrapping. I hadn't scrapped anything since Saturday, and missed playing with all me goodies. I wanted to create a card based on Kazan's Sketch 26 over at 2 Sketches 4 You. I also checked the Use It! Challenge blog. The talented Rae Barthel started this challenge blog 2 months ago, and I really like the concept. Rae challenges us to use our ever-growing stash. We all have lots and lots of scrapbook stuff, and don't we all buy more? Even though if we don't need anything. Well, at least I do. So far, I haven't had a change to participate in the Use It! challenges, but now that Rae has extended the time frame to complete the challenge (thanks, Rae!) I have more time to play along. Use It! Challenge 9 is 1) color challenge: pink, black, white 2) accents: scallops, ribbon and bling 3) polka dots, baby! and 4) D.I.Y. aka 'do it yourself'. I used one of my favorite collections ever....Scenic Route's Laurel. My D.I.Y. item is the flower which I cut from chipboard. I added some funky circles, a button and twine to it. The card design is based on Kazan's Sketch 26.

Supplies: Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper Patterned paper: Scenic Route Laurel Rub-ons: Melissa Frances Button: Rusty Pickle Tools: Sizzix Big Shot, Sizzix Daisies die, Cuttlebug Funky Circles die, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder, Martha Stewart Scallop Dots edge punch Other: ribbon, foamtape, twine, chipboard

Do you know that Jillibean Soup also post sketches on their blog? The sketches are posted on Tuesday. Yesterday Soup Sketch 3 was posted, and here is my take on the sketch. Be sure to check the blog to see the gorgeous projects by Linda, Kim and Jill.

Supplies: Jillibean Soup Patterned paper: Minestrone (Chopped Tomatoes, Cannellini Beans, Olive Oil, Thin Zucchini), Journaling Sprouts: Circles Brown on Kraft Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper Tools: Sizzix Big Shot, Sizzix Stars #2 die Stickers: Bookworks Mini ABC & Numbers Ink: VersaColor Pinecone Other: twine, foam tape

And now.....it is time to post the winner of my Gift Card Holder Challenge. All gift card holders that were created for this challenge are gorgeous. Thank you for participating! I used the random number generator to pick the winner of the ShortCuts Gift Card Holder Folders sampler pack, a clear and frosted card blank, and a $5 gift certificate to spend in the ShortCuts Online Store. The lucky winner is........

Which brings me to........Kay. Congratulations! Please e-mail me your addy, and I will send the goodies to you shortly.

Last time I had an international winner too. Since I would like to introduce the Dutch girls to the ShortCuts products too I've decided to give away another GCHF sampler pack. *smile* And the 2nd winner is..........drumroll please..........

Dora.....that's you! Please e-mail your addy too, and I will send you a pack of Gift Card Holder Folders.

That's all for now!

uuuhhhh girl that first card is divine. You know what I love most about it? That the flower is not obvious at first glance - I ADORE that!
And I am seriously loving your Jillybeans card too. I did not know they did sketches, guess I better check it out, hu?
