Limeuil, France

In the last week of our vacation we went for a picnic in Limeuil located at the confluence of the Dordogne and Vézère rivers. Limeuil was only 5 miles away from our campsite, and is a beautiful French village. The girls asked us to rent a canoe, but it was a bit too chilly that day. We promised them to go back on another day. Only 2 days later the weather was much better, so - as promised - we went to Limeuil again. We booked a 4 miles trip which would take 1 hour, but of course you could also do longer distances. We were taken to La Buisson by bus, and from there we had to canoe to Limeuil. It was a very relaxed trip (although a bit wobbling from time to time - LOL!) in a beautiful environment.

After we got back in Limeuil we had lunch. When we were finished Eric went up the hill to take some pictures while the girls and I were sitting on the terrace. I really love these medieval French villages. The Dordogne is a beautiful part of France.

Next week I will post some more pictures.
