Cover Girl......Again!

Early October the new issue of Scrapbook Magazine will be available. An anniversary issue with 16 extra pages!! I can already tell you that it will be a wonderful issue with many gorgeous projects. Again one of my lay-outs was chosen to be on the cover, and I am really proud of it. I still think it is very special to be on the cover of a magazine. The cute and adorable little boy on the layout is my sweet nephew Nick. I so LOVE that picture of him. The papers that I used are a mixture of various Jillibean Soup collections.

ShortCuts & Kazan's Sketch 35

It's ShortCuts Friday, and today I have two projects to share with you. Both projects are inspired by Kazan's Sketch 35 at 2 Sketches 4 You. It has been ages ago since I played along with 2 Sketches 4 You, and I missed it.....a lot! I check the new sketch and DT projects every week, but my life has been so busy the past few months that I couldn't find the time to play along with 2 Sketches 4 You or any of the other challenge sites. And when I did have time I often was washed out, and didn't feel like scrapping. Anyways, things are getting back to normal.

My first project is a ShortCuts clear card blank. I love all ShortCuts products, but the clear cards and sheets are my favorites. Last Wednesday my order with BasicGrey's Eskimo Kisses came in, and I had to use these lovely papers.

Be Inspired #49 - Mini Album

Today's Be Inspired #49 Challenge on Cuttlebug Challenge Blogspot is to create a mini album. Given the Birthday theme this month I made a mini album for my nephew Nick's 1st birthday. He will turn 1 on February 16th, 2010 but one can never start too early. Believe me....usually I am not so organized or working months ahead. *wink* The front and back cover of this album are made of fabric. The pages are square coasters.

Jillibean Soup Xmas Cards

Jillibean Soup's Grandmas Christmas Soup collection is one of my favorite collections. I love the colors and designs of this Christmas collection. Here's a card made with the new collection.

Eric and I are planning a trip to New York in October. We find it quite hard to find a nice hotel for a reasonable price, because there are just too many hotels. Has any of you ever been to New York? If so, what hotel would you suggest?

We are celebrating our 1st anniversary at the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog this month. A month full of Birthday Challenges. Today Paula, my FIL's wife, is celebrating her 50th birthday. I made her a card using BoBunny's new Delilah collection that I bought at Paper & Pictures last weekend. I also bought the ric rac ribbon by May Arts in various colors. I just love the size of this ric rac. Happy Birthday, Paula!

I used to post my ShortCuts projects on Wednesday, but from now on I'll post on Friday. You may have already read on the ShortCuts blog that ShortCuts is hosting a challenge week. I seem to be into shaped cards at the moment and cut a scalloped circle card using my QuicKutz Silhouette. I adhered a transparent circle cut from a ShortCuts Clear Full Sheet to create a window card, and added rub-ons to the sheet. The pumpkins are also cut with the Silhouette.

Best Wedding Wishes

Yesterday my sweet friend Hanneke got married. Isn't that wonderful news? I am very happy for her and Henri, and wish them lots of love and happiness. I sent them this wedding card last Sunday, but it seems like it didn't show up in time. Hopefully the card arrived today. The card is based on Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #80.
