Trip To Jamaica

In June 2006 Eric and I made a trip to Jamaica. It was an incentive trip hosted by Eric's employer. It was the first time in 6 years that I accompanied Eric on one of the incentive trips again. Since the birth of Fleur and Sanne I was a bit feared of flying, and didn't like to be miles away from home without the girls. I felt quite sorry for Eric that he had to go alone on these trips while his coworkers were there with their spouses, so in 2006 I decided to go with him. It was our first visit to Jamaica and we had a wonderful time. I chose the most beautiful pictures of this trip, and made this mini album. The album was published in Scrapbook Magazine.

Yesterday I received a box full of yumminess from the USA. New stamps, ink pads, ribbon, buttons and cardstock. Oh.....I so LOVE my new goodies and had to play with it immediately. I created this gift tag.

Today I went to the Kreadoe, a crafts fair in Utrecht. I went with my mom, her friend Bep and my sweet friend Hanneke. We all bought some great goodies, and had a wonderful time. Hanneke and I also met some girls that we know through forums and it is always nice to meet them in person. We went home again around 4pm.

Congratulations, and CARDS November

A few weeks ago I participated in a Card Sketch Game on the Scrapdelight forum. 5 Girls in one group. The first one picks a sketch and makes a card based on the sketch. She sends a picture of the card to the second person and that person has to make a card based on her card without having seen the actual sketch. And so on... I was the second person, and here's my card that was scraplifted from the first card.

Back in June two of my cards were picked up for publication in the November issue of CARDS. I haven't received a copy of the magazine yet, but since I have an online subscription I can already show you my cards in the magazine. I have cards and layouts published in Dutch magazines, but it is super cool to also have my work published in an American magazine.

This week I finally had some time to play with the gorgeous templates that Regina Easter from The Cutting Cafe designed for the festive season. As soon as I saw the Mitten Shaped Card template I knew that would be the first template to play with. I think it is a real cute design, don't you think? The shaped card templates are one of my favorites. The circle sentiment is one of the printable stamps from the Circle Christmas set.

Little One

One of my friends got a baby boy recently. Since we don't live close to each other we haven't seen their son yet. We will soon go to Friesland to visit them. For now I leave you with the baby card I made for them.

Be Inspired #56

It has been a few weeks since I made a project for Cuttlebug Challenge Blogspot. Due to my trip to New York I missed two challenges. This week's challenge Be Inspired #56 is to create a Thanksgiving or Gratitude project. I chose to make a Thanksgiving card. Zva Creative Design Team Member

Wow.....what a great way to start November. Yesterday around midnight I received an e-mail from Kim Hughes telling me that I was chosen for the Zva Creative Design Team. Remember yesterday's card that took me a long time? I designed that one for the call and submitted it along with some of my other work. In honor of my new DT position I created another card with the gorgeous Zva Creative swirls today. Lighting is a bit poor, but the weather was quite bad today so I had no natural light to photograph my card. The Zva Creative products can be bought at Paper & Pictures.
