Last Scrapper Standing (entry 3)

I managed to finish my lay-out in time. This time it was all about circles. I love to use circle accents, but it is different (and not easy) when you have to build up your lay-out with circles only. Competition is tough this time, so I am not sure if I will make it to the 4th round. Again, I am very happy with my lay-out. Personally I think this is one of my best lay-outs ever.

Time to scrap

After all the festive activities I finally had some time to scrap again. I spent almost two days to work on two Circle Journals (CJ). I was quite behind with the one from Cynthia and I finally managed to finish it. It was fun to work on that one as I loved to use pictures from my early years. The CJ from Wendy is about confessions and addictions related to scrapbooking. Well....that wasn´t a difficult one to work on.

I now have to concentrate on my third entry to the Last Scrapper Standing competition. The deadline is Sunday 31 December 23.59 CET, and I haven´t put anything on paper yet. I do have a few ideas but I am not sure which one is best. This time it is all about circles. I love to use circles on my lay-outs as an accent, but this time it is the only shape that is allowed. Hmmm....I think I will need some extra time to think about a great lay-out.

Happy Birthday

Hey little girl, you finally turned 4 today! You looked forward to this day for weeks as turning 4 means that you finally go to school. You kept telling me almost every day "when I turn 4 I go to school". You want to be in juf Simone's class so badly. Opa Hans & oma Yvonne, oma Willy, Peter and Li came to visit you this morning and stayed over for lunch. Opa Arie came to visit you in the afternoon. Aunt Lisette called you from Melbourne, Australia and sang Happy Birthday along with Rebecca, Ruben and Renee. You had a wonderful day and enjoyed all your lovely gifts.

Two Princesses

Our girls didn't want to get dressed today. However, they did want to dress up like a princess. Sanne put on her Snow White dress, and Fleur wanted to be Cinderella. Aren't they beautiful?

TGI Friday

I am so glad that it is Friday, and that I will be off work for 2 weeks. This week was so, so busy. Since we have kids December is busier than ever as the girls both have their birthday this month. Sanne will turn 4 on December 24th, and we threw her a little birthday party for the girls in her new class last Wednesday. All the girls had lots of fun and so did I, but I hardly had time to relax that day. I also had to scrap a little Christmas gift for the teachers in school and in nursery this week as well as an invitation for Fleur's birthday party. Yesterday Fleur had the annual Christmas dinner at school, and I made her favorite sausage rolls. This morning I did the grocery shopping for Christmas. I didn't have to buy that much food as we will be with my parents on 1st Christmas Day and only have my MIL over for dinner on the 2nd day. Needless to say the shops were crowded. December is a nice and cosy month, but I am always glad when it is over.

Fancy Pants Design Team Call

Today I will submit 5 lay-outs that I created for the Fancy Pants Design Team Call. I cherish no illusions to win this Design Team member competition, but it was fun to work on these lay-outs and a real challenge. Especially because I never worked with Fancy Pants patterned paper before. I hardly made any 12x12" lay-outs before either, so making 5 lay-outs in 2 weeks time is quite an achievement.

Sneak Preview

I just want to show a sneak preview of one of the 4 lay-outs I worked on in the past 2 weeks. I will soon show all 4 lay-outs that I made. The lay-outs are meant for a Design Team Call of an American (scrapbook) manufacturer. Again, I don't think I will make it to the team, but it was fun to work on these lay-outs. It was quite a challenge as I never worked with this manufacturer's paper.

Deck the halls

Yesterday we bought a Christmas tree at the local garden centre, and today it was time to deck the Christmas tree. Eric took care of the lights outside. Only two weeks to go, and we haven't made any plans for Christmas yet.

Last Scrapper Standing (entry 2)

Well, I made it to the 2nd round of the Last Standing Scrapper competition. This time you had to make a lay-out or spread using 13 photos. No more, no less. Again, I used 3bugsinarug paper, MM paint, chipboard letters and a flat clip, Utee, ribbon, Plain Janes chipboard flower, felt and DMC embroidery floss. The results will be announced on 17 December, so keep your fingers crossed.

Last Scrapper Standing (entry 1)

My entry for the first round of the Last Scrapper Standing competition organised by Dolls & Decorations. Quite a challenge for me as I hardly make any 12x12" lay-outs. I used 3bugsinarug paper, MM paint and chipboard letters, and Plain Janes chipboard swirls.
